Chocolate Naga Viper peppers

Created by Steve Bender, this pepper is a cross between the original Naga Viper and the Chocolate Ghost pepper.

The Naga Viper arrived in 2010 as the newest member of the Naga pepper family. The Naga Viper is a cross between three peppers: the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion, Naga Morich, and Ghost pepper. Some even say that the 7 Pot pepper was also involved in the creation of the Naga Viper. The grower, Gerald Fowler of England, spent over two years developing the new pepper.

Briefly named the hottest pepper in the world by Guinness, it was subsequently knocked off its crown by the Moruga Scorpion, Carolina Reaper and the Trinidad Scorpion Butch T. Still, this pepper is one of the hottest in the world.
