Spanish Valencia Late Melon

Valencia Winter Melon. Dating all the way back to the early 1800s, the Valencia Melon is said to be a close relative of melons grown by Thomas Jefferson at Monticello.

Dark green husk with light green flesh. The Valencia melon ripens late, so harvest just before the first frost. Flavor and sweetness increases during storage.
