Trinidad Scorpion peppers

Native the the district of Moruga in Trinidad and Tobago and created by Wahid Ogeer. In 2012 New Mexico State University confirmed that Trinidad Scorpion was the hottest pepper in the world with an average Scoville rating of 1.2 million units. Some individual plants scored more that 2 million Scoville units! The current world record holder is the Carolina Reaper with an average of 1.57 million Scoville units. Fruits have a tender fruit-like flavor which makes for a sweet-hot combination. Use extreme caution when handling fruits and warn children of the dangers of these super, super hot fruits. Plants will act as a perennial if overwintered in mild climates or if they are brought indoors in the North.

Super hot peppers are tricky to grow. The seeds are difficult to germinate under home growing conditions and they need a long, hot season to produce fruit. Pay close attention to growing instructions which are supplied upon request.
